Elsie Bayron's European Tour

After five years of performing in Spain, Elsie Bayron fled to Paris in the fall of 1936 with her boyfriend, Dominican bandleader Napoleon Zayas. Afterwards, they joined with Benny Peyton's orchestra for A European Tour, appearing in Holland, Hungary, Turkey, Scandinavia and Egypt.
Elsie & Napoleon married & returned to Spain upon the outbreak of WWII.
Rosa Negra & Molinet - Zürich (1939)
Francisco Molinet & Rosa Negra performing at the Cabaret Montparnasse in Switzerland, accompanied with two new partners, shortly after escaping the civil war in Spain. After touring Europe & South America, the Cuban couple returned to their adopted country of Spain in 1940, despite being controlled now by Franco's new regime.
